9th April 2008 - "E-KERB SUPPLY SIDE INUNDATED"
News is spreading fast about the E-KERB PROJECT, which enables all types and forms of plastics packaging to be recycled without any separation. Following launch of the website requests to recycle more than 100,000 tonnes have been received from local authorities and waste management companies throughout the U.K. and the enquiries keep flooding in. Realisation that these materials can at last be recycled to produce lightweight replacements for concrete kerbing provides visible evidence to all concerned to dispel the widely held belief that plastics should be banned.
1st May 2008 - "E-KERB PLANNED PRODUCTION CAPACITY DOUBLED"
Interest in the first planned E-KERB plant has been doubled in capacity to enable 20,000 tonnes of mixed plastics packaging to be recycled. Site locations in various parts of the Country are currently being examined and with marketing momentum gaining ground, within the construction industry, production is expected to start in Spring 2009.
19th May 2008 - "E-KERB PRICE BREAKTHROUGH"
E-KERBS are to be marketed at the same price as their concrete counterparts, removing concerns within the construction and civil engineering industries that they would have to pay a premium for their use. In fact the reverse is now true, as important savings will be made by seriously reducing costs associated with breakages, relaying and minimising the use of expensive mechanical handling equipment to comply with the H & S Manual handling regulations.
